How I work as a career coach

I use a structured coaching programme called Firework, alongside positive psychology and counselling-based approaches, to help you:

  • identify a career direction that feels right for you

  • overcome fear, self-doubt and overthinking

  • create a clear and realistic action plan

  • build a more positive, resilient mindset

My approach is both supportive and practical — focused on helping you move forward, not stay stuck in the past.

Career Coach in Brighton for women ready for a more fulfilling career

Hi, I’m Juliette — a career coach based in Brighton.

I help women who feel stuck, unfulfilled or unsure what’s next to find a career path that truly fits their life.

Through my 1:1 coaching programme, I support you to get clear on what you want, build confidence and take practical steps towards meaningful work.

My story

Back in 2014, I was working in advertising in London.

On paper, everything looked fine — but underneath, I felt increasingly unhappy. The long commute, the pressure, the pace of life… it just didn’t feel sustainable or fulfilling.

At the same time, my partner and I were trying to start a family.

I had a clear plan in my head:

I’d use maternity leave to figure out my next move, change careers, and create a different kind of life for myself.

But life didn’t unfold in that neat, linear way.

We moved to Brighton earlier than expected, which meant a four-hour daily commute.

And it took us over 10 years — and several painful losses — to have our two daughters through IVF.

It was a challenging, emotional and uncertain time.

The turning point

During that period, I worked with a career coach.

That experience changed everything.

It helped me:

rebuild my confidence

understand my strengths and values

see possibilities I hadn’t considered before

From there, I gradually made changes — going part-time, retraining as a coach, and building my business alongside my job. Eventually, I stepped fully into this work.

What I learned through my own career change

There’s no perfect time to change your life — you start where you are.

Work that feels meaningful can carry you through incredibly difficult seasons.

The path isn’t always straightforward, but it is worth it.

And often, you’re far more capable than you realise.

Who I work with

As a career coach in Brighton, I now work with women in their 30s, 40s and 50s who are:

  • feeling stuck or unfulfilled in their current role

  • struggling with confidence or self-doubt

  • navigating a career change or life transition

  • looking for more meaningful, balanced work

These are women who know something needs to change — even if they don’t yet know what that looks like.

What it’s like to work with me

Clients often tell me that I’m warm, supportive and easy to talk to — but also gently challenging when needed.

I’ll help you think differently, see new possibilities and take yourself seriously.

Because this isn’t just about changing your job.

It’s about creating a life and career that feel like they truly fit you.
