Whether you're preparing for maternity leave, navigating life on parental leave, or getting ready to return to work, becoming a parent can raise questions you never expected to ask.
You may find yourself questioning your confidence, your priorities, your identity or even whether your career still feels right.
The transition into parenthood isn't just a personal milestone. For many people, it's one of the biggest career transitions they'll ever experience.
Through thoughtful one-to-one coaching, I'll help you navigate this chapter with greater confidence, make decisions that feel right for you and create a career that works for this next stage of your life.
Return to work coaching after maternity leave
Career coaching to support you through the transition into parenthood.
The career transition nobody prepares you for
We often spend months preparing for the practical side of having a baby.
We think about nursery furniture, maternity leave dates and childcare arrangements.
But very little prepares us for the professional questions that can emerge.
Will I still want the same career?
Can I still be ambitious?
How do I balance progression with flexibility?
Why don't I feel like the same person anymore?
These questions are incredibly common, yet many parents feel they have to work through them alone.
Coaching gives you the time and space to understand what's changing and decide how you want your career to evolve.
“Juliette helped me make sense out of lots of overwhelming feelings and helped map out a path so it feels more manageable moving forward.
I’ve started to implement some of the recommendations Juliette gave and am feeling much more in control and grounded because of it.”
Bethany, mum of 2
Supporting you through every stage of the transition
Before maternity or parental leave
Preparing to step away from work can bring excitement alongside uncertainty.
You might be wondering:
* How do I prepare emotionally as well as practically?
* Will my career suffer while I'm away?
* How can I leave work feeling confident?
* How do I stay connected without feeling pressured?
Together we'll help you prepare for this transition with confidence and peace of mind.
Preparing to return to work
Returning to work can feel exciting, daunting and emotional all at once.
Common coaching topics include:
* rebuilding confidence
* preparing for conversations with your manager
* flexible working requests
* balancing ambition with family life
* creating a return-to-work plan that feels realistic.
During maternity or parental leave
Parenthood often changes more than your daily routine.
Many parents begin asking themselves:
* Why do I feel so different?
* Do I still want the same career?
* Can I still be ambitious?
* Is it normal to question everything?
This is your space to pause, reflect and make sense of what's changing before making any big decisions.
Settling back into work
The first few months back often raise new questions.
Perhaps you're wondering:
* Why doesn't work feel the same?
* How do I rebuild my confidence?
* How do I stop feeling guilty all the time?
* What does success look like now?
* Is this still the right career for me?
Together we'll help you create a way of working that feels sustainable and fulfilling.
“She opened my eyes to just how much overlap there is between the skills I’ve learned as a new mother and how they can be better applied to work.”
Kristen, mum of 2

Why work with me?
For more than 10 years, I've helped professionals navigate significant career transitions with greater confidence and purpose.
Becoming a parent is one of the biggest career transitions many of us will ever experience, yet it's one we rarely prepare for professionally. As a qualified Parental Transition Coach, I support parents through this chapter, whether they're preparing for parental leave, navigating time away from work or returning to their careers.
I'm also a working parent myself, so this work feels deeply personal as well as professionally meaningful. My own path to parenthood included many rounds of IVF, giving me an understanding that this journey can be emotionally complex long before parental leave or a return to work even begins.
Every experience of parenthood is different. Alongside the joy it can bring, it may also raise questions about identity, confidence, ambition and what a fulfilling, sustainable career looks like now.
My role isn't to tell you what your career should look like after becoming a parent. It's to provide a calm, supportive space where you can make sense of what's changing, reconnect with what matters most and move forward with confidence.
Clients often describe my coaching style as warm, insightful and gently challenging, combining thoughtful reflection with practical action.
Frequently asked questions about working parent coaching
Is this coaching only for mothers?
1
No — I support working parents navigating maternity leave, paternity leave, adoption leave and the return to work transition.
Can coaching help me prepare for returning to work after maternity leave?
2
Yes. Many parents find the emotional transition back to work more complex than expected. Coaching offers space to rebuild confidence, process changing priorities and make thoughtful decisions about what sustainable working life looks like.
What happens in a coaching session?
3
Each session is a confidential 1:1 conversation designed to help you reflect, process challenges and move forward with greater confidence and intention.
I’m on parental leave and questioning my career — is that normal?
4
Very much so. Parenthood often shifts your relationship with ambition, identity, priorities and work itself. Some clients are focused on returning well to an existing role, while others are beginning to question whether their previous path still fits.
