Career Coaching FAQs | Career Coach in Brighton

What is career coaching?

1

Career coaching is a structured, supportive process that helps you figure out what you want from your work — and how to move towards it.

If you’re feeling stuck, unfulfilled or unsure what’s next, career coaching helps you:

  • gain clarity on your strengths, values and direction

  • explore new career options or ideas

  • overcome fear, self-doubt and overthinking

  • create a clear, realistic action plan

As a career coach in Brighton, I offer 1:1 sessions designed to help you move forward with confidence and purpose.

What’s the difference between career coaching and counselling?

2

Career coaching focuses on your present and future — helping you set goals, make decisions and take action.

Counselling is more focused on processing past experiences and supporting mental health challenges.

Both can be incredibly valuable, and they often work well alongside each other.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or struggling day-to-day, it’s important to seek support from a qualified counsellor or your GP.

What if I don’t know what I want to do yet?

3

That’s completely normal — and actually where many people start.

You don’t need to have a clear plan before starting career coaching.

Most of my clients simply know that:

  • they want to make a change

  • they want more meaningful work

  • they’re ready to take themselves seriously

Through coaching, we work together to:

  • uncover your strengths, values and motivations

  • explore realistic career directions

  • build your confidence

  • create a step-by-step plan forward

Who is career coaching for?

4

Career coaching is for women who feel stuck, unfulfilled or unsure about their next step.

As a career coach in Brighton, I’ve worked with women from a wide range of backgrounds, including:

  • marketing and HR professionals

  • academics and project managers

  • creatives, freelancers and business owners

Some are in full-time roles, some are on a career break, and some are already self-employed.

What they all have in common is a desire to:

  • do work that feels meaningful

  • create more balance in their lives

  • feel more confident and fulfilled

What makes your approach different?

5

I use a structured 12-step coaching programme called Firework, combined with a holistic approach that looks at you as a whole person — not just your job.

Together, we explore:

  • what you want from your work and your life

  • how your career can support your lifestyle and values

  • practical options that align with your strengths and income needs

This isn’t about forcing a quick decision — it’s about finding a path that genuinely fits you.

How does payment work?

6

Payment is made in advance, either:

£1500 in full (with a 10% saving), or

£225 monthly over 6 months

I use Stripe to make the process simple and secure.

What if I need to reschedule a session?

7

We’ll agree a regular time for your sessions when we start.

If something comes up, just give at least 24 hours’ notice and we can rearrange.

I do encourage you to treat these sessions as protected time — this is your space to focus on yourself and your future.
